Thin surgical instruments can be inserted through the endoscope to remove tissue if necessary.

An egg needs to travel from the ovary through the fallopian tubes to the uterus for fertilization and pregnancy to take place. The test is a common part of an infertility examination to determine if the fallopian tubes are open or blocked. It involves using an injected dye to highlight X-ray images.
